I can't remeber how many times I've stayed at Tarntawan, but each time I feel as if I've returned to my home away from home. I've stayed at many 5-star hotels in Asia but none can equal Tarntawan, much less surpass it in terms of comfort, service cuisine and price. It is refreshing to see the old familiar faces behind the desk and at the bar. Lukas is a master of every little detail. The staff is unfailingly friendly, as are the guests. I'm returning early October and can hardly wait. Well done, Lukas!

Hi there Lukas
Well we're back home after our trip to Thailand and unfortunately back at work also. On behalf of the others I'd like to thank you and your staff for helping to make our stay in Bangkok so enjoyable. The Tarntawan was just ideal for us - our adjoining rooms were terrific, the location spot on, the staff were wonderful - always happy, friendly and helpful - and the breakfasts kept us going for hours. We were very lucky that one of your staff hired Mr Arlee for us to taxi us around - he was a terrific find. I can recommend him and have his contact number if you need it. I'm attaching a few pics that I took as we were leaving. I should have started on that task earlier as I would have liked to have had a pic of all of them to keep the memory fresh.

I'm also going to attach a pic of the three of us in the pool at our resort in Patong - sipping cocktails of course. You gave me the lead to the accommodation I finally selected there - the Salathai. It turned out to be fantastic as well - comfortable, friendly, great food and close to the beach and the gay Paradise area. So thanks for that also. If anyone asks about accommodation in Phuket like I did, I can recommend the Salathai.

Thanks again for everything, and as I said when we were leaving, please stick with your current selection criteria for selecting your staff. They are not only a handsome bunch but also very good at their jobs. Our best wishes to you all and I hope we can get back there soon. There is still a lot of exploring and fun to be had in Bangkok and surrounding districts. We'll have the Super deluxe two bedroom suite again please. :)

Cheers Kem, Kevin and Barry

These are difficult economic times and with airfares rocketing and currency rates down,it might make a person timid of a major trip. RELAX, Thailand is still a bargian IF you start your Bangkok stay with Tarntawan Place. And don't let the moderate rates fool you either. Tarntawan Place is a 5 star operation. Managers Lucus and Marcus have put together a world class hotel that doens't overlook any creature comforts for it's guests. It's the little things that mean a lot when you are far from home. The 24/7 breakfast is wonderful for jet lagged passengers who don't want to race to the lobby to make it in time to eat. The business cards with your name on them makes you not only feel special but are practical too. The wonderful smile on the staff member who brings a tall iced drink to your room when you arrive parched from countless hours in flight. The quiet grace of the dining room and always...those incredible staffers who know your name, smile with genuine fondness for their jobs and your comfort. This hotel is beautiful and right in the heart of the Bangkok nightlife, markets and public transport, but tucked away from the madness of Bangkok traffic. The hotel is decorated in classic Thai beauty matched only by the service. Like so many of the other comments here, this hotel becomes a second home and the staff is like family. Don't overlook this great Bangkok address when looking for a place to stay in Bangkok. Its the best kept semi secret in Asia !!!!!

Every time i visit Bangkok i always stay at Tarntawan Place,i had 2 short stays there earlier this month,as usual evrything was perfect, especially the beds which are the most comfortable in Thailand,at Tarntawan you are treated like a friend not just a room number, and once the staff get to know you they never forget your name, the cocktail hour on Thursday evenings is a great idea,as you get to meet so many diverse people from many different countries,i for one will continue in the future return to Tarntawan as it is like a home away from home.
