| Comment: Aloha Lukas and Markus (and staff), Please commend all your staff for me. Everyone from Security to Housekeeping made me feel especially welcome. The particular attention shown by the daytime Front Desk (esp. Jeerapon and the girls), daytime Elevator Security, all the restaurant and bell staff and Panee, Panida and Pinoy makes my sadness in having to go even greater. Fortunately, they all make coming back something to look especially forward to......this is not something experienced just this visit but throughout every visit over the past years. Tarntawan is the must-stay hotel for me. Thanks again for making my trip a good one... |

We've stayed here so many times now, and it is great to be recognised by all the staff, who works there for so many years. Every staff member is so friendly and helpful. The hotel is an oase of rest in the heart of Bangkok, the service is excellent (for example: the possibility to have a late check-out when flying in the evening), the 24 hour breakfast, the clean rooms, the fresh fruit in the room. | Comment: Having returned safely to France would I like to use this opportunity to express my gratitude for a most wonderful stay last week at hotel Tarntawan Place in Bangkok. As my booking was made on recommendation from a close friend, I am happy to say that my expectations were highly redeemed. For several decades I have been travelling very much, but seldom I have met such a service and charming and friendly ambiance as here. Everybody of your staff made their efforts to satisfy the guests. During the cocktail get-together on Thursday it was obvious to me that everybody felt like me – happy to have chosen Tarntawan Place as residence. >From the moment I was picked up at the airport until I later was brought back for the return flight there was not a single fault or mistake. Everything was made into perfection. For this reason would I kindly ask you to pass my gratitude on to your staff. For me one thing has become sure – Hotel Tarntawan Place shall during my future visits to Bangkok THE place for me to stay. |

| Comment: There is no other place to stay in Bangkok that the Tantawan Place Hotel for the truest sense of hospitality. The moment I walk into the hotel, I feel as if I cam back home. It's inviting with a terrific staff and front desk, and you can't beat the location. I have stayed at some of the more posh hotels in Bangkok, but they pale in comparison to the Tarntawan. It's like having a home in Bangkok instead of a hotel room. And coming from Hawaii, they understand the Aloha spirit. Mahalo! |

| Comment: I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for the high standard and level of service offered at your hotel. As a regular traveler I always choose The Tarntawan as I find the rooms extremely comfortable and the staff very obliging. The breakfast all day are a plus allowing me to sleep in and I always seem to be allowed to check in early if my fight arrives in the early hours. Also I have never been refused a late check out. | Comment: I am a bit biased after more then a decade of being pampered by the staff of the Tarntamwan hotel on my Thailand visits. I may take for granted the tall iced drink brought to your room by a smiling staffer after 23 hours of disorienting travel. I may forget that the Tarntawan is one of very few hotels in the world that considers that a traveler with jet lag may not wnat to drag himself down to breakfast by a certain time. At the Tarntawan, you can have that breakfast 24/7. I may overlook the small but wonderful gesture of checking in and being handed business cards with your name on them from the hotel with info in Thai and English. This last year, I brought two friends for a first visit to Thailand. One of them is a hotel consultant in Las Vegas and he was very skeptical of a place called Tarntawan, but trusted me. I mention this because on a visit to Vegas last week, I watched my friend giving a lecture to middle management and staff of a major Las Vegas Strip hotel. Twice in his presentation, he mentioned a place in Bangkok called The Tarntawan. He saw me smiling from the back of the room. What he was telling his audience was that hotels are just structures and what sets them apart are the people who are entrusted to make your stay flawless and memorable. The Tarntawan is run so flawlessly that its easy to overlook the effort. It's the 'people' who, under the direction of manager Lukas, make the guests at the Tarntawan feel welcome and returning year after year, as I do. From the handsome men in crisp uniforms outside the lobby, who run out with an umbrella to keep you dry, to the infectious smile and kindness of the man who works security and sits by the elevator. The lovely and graceful woman in Thai Silk who greet you at the front desk to the silent but efficiant woman who keep the spacious and beautifully appointed rooms in top shape AND who are always ready to make you more comfortable. There is even a weekly cocktail party hosted by the manager for all the guests to get aquainted and ask questions of the staff. THAT is the TARNTAWAN. Set back from the! madness of Surawong Road on a quiet private street, it is a jewel in the crown of a country known for friendliness and hospitatily. The great 'chain' hotels of the world are in Bangkok, but to savor the true feeling of this wonderful Country....start out at the Tarnatwan. Thanks staff for years of service and I look forward to returning soon. |

| Comment: I had stayed at other facilities in Bangkok on past travels, until I found this place. There simply is nowhere else to stay when in Bangkok but the Tarntawan Place! In our travels it is rare to consistently see the same helpful, friendly and professional staff at a hotel year after year, as you do here. The rooms are excellent, very quiet and always clean, as is the whole hotel. Aside from the excellent breakfast, the regular menu is also worth your while. Even the drive who picks us up welcomes us "home" and it feels like it! |

| Comment: Started with bad experience from Airport as I got cheated all the way by taxi who brought me hotels which is part below hotel 81 standard in Singapore. I keep rejecting it and alomst went to Le Meredian. One of the American told me check out with Tarntawan place hotel - I can't even prounance the name - 1st glance was impressive - the security very good - the passage way - amazing - room is exceptional. La cuisine à presque toute heure, comme le petit déjeuner d'ailleurs ! font de ce lieu un véritable chez soi dés le 2่me jour. Noctanbule affirmé je ne suis pas sûr de pouvoir trouver en Europe un tel accueil à 3 ou 4 heures du matin. Ni de pouvoir manger (thaï ou occidental) en dehors des heures de repas. La sécurité y est maximum et le service inpecable si l'on fait l'effort de se faire comprendre (en anglais). Non vraiment n'y allez pas vous allez revenir !!! |

I have stayed in many 5 Star Hotels over the years, but I have never found another hotel where I feel so comfortable and secure as the Tarntawan. The staff are great and rooms are spacious and kept spotless. The policy of visiting friends and an excellent but unobtrusive security protocol is something very rare to find. I now make my flight arrangements to Bangkok after I confirm my bookings at this hotel! This is a 5 Star Hotel in every respect except for the very reasonable room rate. |

I am a world traveller and have been in many hotels, but yet to come accross a hotel like Tarantawan and I can say so confidently for any holiday makers. Bangkok and holiday in Bangkok is for fun, friends and general relaxation and good times. Tarntawan really provides the real holiday atmosphere and true sense of service, hospitality by the professionally tranied and caring staff. The owners Lucas, Mike and Trish have put in lots of efforts and professional inputs to operate and manage this hotel to most international standards to carter to the international guests. Great place to meet great guests and the weekly management cocktail party hosted by the management brings the guests together and true to its meaning the guests come together and become great fri! ends for life time. I have been to BKK 10 times and always stayed at the hotel and have met great friends from all over the world and we make it a point to meet eevry year at out home-away-home hotel Tarntawan. Try out Dick's Cafe down Soi Twilight managed by the same hotel. Great place to chill out and watch the parade whole day. Great combination for holiday makers - both the hotel and the cafe. I can go on and go on because this place is the greatest we friends have come accross on this earth. Mike, Lucas and trish keep up the good work. We all are coming back next year and make it more of a fun place for all. Gary, Dorson, Peter, Chris we will be there next year this time. |

| Comment: The more I stay at Tarntawan, the better it gets, and there was nothing wrong to start with, but it gets better still. Though having been here more often now than at any other single hotel anywhere, it is the first time I have a 'long-stay' booking of more than 2 weeks here on a single visit, and my oh my, apart from a better room rate overall, I noticed an additional discount on Food & Beverage when doing my weekly deposit. Totally cool. Anyway, you know you're doing a good job, but there's no harm in telling you so from time to time, and one certainly has the urge to do so. Thanks also for the fruit basket. Another 'must say': The Staff here really are and continue to be the sweetest I have encountered anywhere. |

| Comment: You should stay at the Tarntawan, amongst all that is mentioned here, I liked that upon check in they give you personal name cards (about 20) This is your perfect base during your stay in Bangkok. Local calls is free and free Internet, early check in, late check out, again all make this Hotel a great place to use as a base for both biz and also leisure. This is the closest location you can get to Patpong Night Bazaar and still enjoy a cozy environment. Forget about the others, Tarntawan is the one you need if you are in this area. 1 mins walk to Patpong. and along that walk, you have a few choices of foot massage places which are fantastic after your late night shopping or party! Just walk back and get a foot massage before going back to the hotel. Great room, clean, very nice and cozy. Bathroom is ok too with a standard size bath tub and shower. Complimentary set breakfast is ok too. Have the choice of Continental, American, Thai, and Japanese! Much Thanks! |

It was a real pleasure to be back again, and to see so many familiar faces amongst your most excellent staff, who were at all times most welcoming and attentive. Your record of a 2% staff turn-over speaks volumes, and is something of which you should surely be proud. Many thanks for the recommendation of the Tailor along the Surawong Road. He did us proud and provided us with fitted suits and shirts which already have been greatly admired. One complaint, though, for the first time in several visits to Bangkok, we had to experience the local rainfall..... and we used to say that it knew how to rain in Scotland !!! But at least in Bangkok, it all seems to happen at once and then life can return to normal (?) again quite soon...... It looks highly likely that we will manage a return visit next November, so all the memories and experiences acquired this month will need to keep us warm and content over the next few seasons. I love the friendliness, shyness and peace of mind of Thai people, and I did all my best to return the smilings, even now that I am back in Holland. Tarntawan hotel was an excellent basis for discovery, in my case an unusual high amount of visits to a nearby excellent sportschool, California Gym, and guidance by a very professional personal tourist guide, called Wit who knows an awful lot about architecture and history of Thailand. I am a total mess in terms of household, so I was delighted to see that I could give my dirty laundry in the morning and find it washed and ironed the same afternoon. Thank you, dear cleaning ladies! On the last day of my stay, a Tarntawan staff member even attempted to make a joke (which I believe is quite a non-Thai thing), and I consider that moment a major breakthrough in East-West relationship :-) |

Just two examples will suffice. On my first morning, at breakfast, one of your waiters brought me pineapple juice, without being asked - having remembered that that is what I have. On another occasion, I couldn't find a Bangkok Post and asked a member of the wait staff if they had one. The next thing was that someone was dashing down to the 7-11 to get me one! Yet another example was when the chap on the lift asked me, without prompting: 'when is your friend, Narakorn, coming from Chiang Rai?' You don't get these sorts of things in many 5 star Hotels! | Comment: A hotel which is not "over the top". Absolutely discreet and relaxed. Security is very tight and effective but unobtrusive, particularly regarding the bona fides of your guests. Nothing was too much trouble; my expectations are not excessive, and every request was met quietly and efficiently - usually without me having to ask. Now back at work, I felt compelled to write a few lines of thanks for your recent hospitality particularly between Monday, August 16th and my discharge from the BNH, to my check out on September 06th to return to Bali/Timor. Care and hospitality were superb by all the staff and great concern was shown by all about my condition, and I knew that recovery in the hotel would be best and without problem, just as I found out. I often consider the Tarntawan a home-from-home because of its familiarity to me and friendliness of all the staff whom I've come to know. Thanks too to Khun Sombat and all staff re the flowers and card delivered by Sombat himself on my 1st day on 14th, - Sombat actually walked all the way to and from the BNH in Soi Convent! Thanks too Mike for the loan of the DVD player which helped while away the evenings when I didn't feel up to going out. The only problem with that was I ended up buying loads of DVD's to watch and take home to Timor with me! Never mind. All in all thank you to everyone and all the front desk staff which made my slightly unusual stay this time so much more bearable, and the kindness and attention that is simply unique to the Tarntawan and keeps me coming back. | Comment: Myself and four friends spent several nights at the Tarntawan Place in March 2004. We were most impressed with the facilities and the level of service. To say this is a friendly hotel is an understatement. We felt as if we were in a oasis, and we and our guests were always treated very respectfully. On our second stay during our trip my Thai friend was with us as a registered guest, and was treated very well and remembered by all of the staff. There were so many nice touches: the quick car service to and from the airport (which we loved), the helpfulness of the front desk staff in helping us plan our daily and nightly forays, the welcome drink, the fruit basket in our suite, the wonderful daily breakfast, the free Internet, the great security, the quick laundry and pressing service, the personalized in-residence cards, and so much more. And the price is fantastic! We will be back in Bangkok many times, and we now have our home in the city. |

I must also apologise to them for the numerous times I have made reservation amendments and cancellations throughout the year. Guess I must have given them quite a headache trying to accommodate to my fickle changes of dates. I don't think I have mentioned it to you before but your hotel chefs and cooks really serve excellent food no matter what time of the day or even very late at night (very early morning, too but always with a smile and quick service). I'm particularly 'addicted' to the 'sem mee nam moo' - its noodle soup with meatballs which I order for breakfast everyday. Anyway, I look forward to see you all again this year. If all the women that clean the rooms are as good as Sraitong, you have the best staff in the world! I was in room 505 (which I shall also request for next year). She matched her schedule to mine and as soon as I went down for breakfast, she was there cleaning and straightening out my room so that when I returned from breakfast, everything was in perfect order. She even noticed that my television reception was not as good as it should have been and that I was not receiving all of the channels. Without my having ever said a word, she arranged for the maintenance staff person to come to my room and replace the television. I then got perfect reception and all of the channels. Sraitong is truly a gem!! I had planned to sample a number of restaurants but found that Iwas so satisfied with the food at the hotel and Cafe Again, thanks for making my hotel stay a real pleasure. I was there to celebrate my 63rd birthday and I certainly hope to return to celebrate my 64th!! Oh, I forgot to mention the dining room staff who seemed to be able to read my mind and anticipate what I was going to have for breakfast. They were great!! Your shuttle from and to the airport is a plus; drivers were always waiting for me. I realize that planes can be late. The location is superb. Everything there. I even went to NWA Office with the Skytrain. Easy. I will go to that Week-end Market you recommended for the wind chimes; hopefully I can take the skytrain to the area. Housekeeping is top notch. Also like your selection on television. On the 14th of July I had the opportunity to watch the Bastille Day Parade on French Television. This was a first for me--outstanding. I also enjoy the German and Japanese Television. Some of the programs are in English; however, I have enjoyed non-English programs; one gets a different perspective. | Comment: I want to thank everyone at the Tarntawan for their kindness during my recent stay (14-18 June). You might be aware that by Sunday the 16th, I was quite ill and confined to bed. Most likely a "bug" I caught on the plane coming over from Manila (and not the first time, I might add). I was very weak and no doubt looked like hell on the Monday morning when I came down to check out. I really was in no condition to fly home. Your clerk was most understanding and efficient, assured me that I could keep my room for another day and she immediately contacted Thai Airways to cancel my flight and rebook it for the next day. That done, I returned to my room and stayed in bed for the duration. I should mention that by the time I returned to the room, it had been completely made up and replenished. Your staff was very solicitous and showed genuine concern for my condition. I was quite touched and grateful. My friend Chu was also impressed and commented most favorably when I called him from Cavite Tuesday evening. Please mention my gratitude to your staff. " A quiet home a few meters away from the busy street" Free use of the internet connection was nice as well. When I return to BKK, and I will, the Tarntawan is THE ONLY place I will consider staying. While I was there I got sick, just a bit of a cold. One morning I walked out of my room and was sniffling. One of the housekeepers noticed this and told me to go get medicine at a pharmacy. Later on in the day when I returned I found an extra box of tissue in my room. I'm sure if I had known her a bit better she would have offered to make chicken soup for me also. | Comment: Well, let me tell you.....your staff does, in fact, reach and maintain incredibly high standards (trust me, I've stayed at the best and when I'm impressed - as I was at your hotel - it is very special indeed!). So, with that in mind, let me just expand on my original thought for one moment: I have been coming to Bangkok annually since 1988 (a full dozen years) and sometimes twice each year. Each year I have stayed at a nearby hotel and have enjoyed my time - although I have always wanted to "upgrade" at a reasonable price! This year, for the first time, I stayed at the Tarntawan Place - a wonderful experience indeed! What is so wonderful? The room is clean and bright....the bed is GIGANTIC....and the bath adequate. Each and every member of the staff, from the front door man who greeted me, to the front desk staff who always treated me as an honored guest....to the housekeeping staff (laundry in by 9 a.m. delivered by 6 p.m. - no way!! Laundry is finished in a flash....within a couple hours....I could hardly believe it) EVERYONE on the staff (yes, even the owners/management staff) treats every single guest (yes....I was watching carefully!!) like they are gold....how refreshing and wonderful that is!! The restaurant is wonderful too....breakfast is included in the tariff and is served by smiling, wide awake staff - what more could one ask for? What a wonderful way to begin a new day!! There is something else going on here - something unspoken and visceral, as I came and went about my business throughout the day (entering the hotel and leaving several times) the high class of the entire place never let down. I always thought I was special and I was living in a special place. Is it more expensive than other venues? Yes, of course it is.....but you want to know something.....the experience mattered, the cost didn't!! And let me tell you one more thing! (yes, I'll get off my soap box after this).... right next door is a most marvelous bar and sauna with a smiling wonderful staff. The Thursday evening "get acquainted" cocktail party really put me at ease WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.....I'll be back in October and plan to invade your hospitality once again! |
